A recall list for vaccinations: how to stop forgetting the animals to call back
Vaccine boosters and periodic check-ups are easily lost between consultations. A recall list kept by the team solves one problem, and solves it well: nobody forgets who had to be called. The platform sends nothing on its own — the call stays with the team.
How to keep the list (short answer)
- At the end of the consultation, the vet sets the booster or check-up date.
- The team enters the animal in the recall list, with the set date.
- Once a week, on a fixed day, someone works through the list and calls the owners.
- The actual appointment is made in the schedule; the animal leaves the list after the visit.
What the list does NOT do
- It does not send SMS, e-mails or WhatsApp messages to owners.
- It does not calculate the next vaccine date itself: the vet sets it.
- It does not send vaccinations to official registers.
Common mistakes
- The list exists but has no fixed day on which it is worked through.
- Animals stay on the list after they have come in.
- The booster date is in the record but not in the list.
How 4softvet helps
- The manual recall list, linked to the animal record, in the same platform as the schedule.
- For messages to owners there is 4notify, a separate product in the ecosystem.
